9-17-2014 Kenton neighborhood

We ended up transferring to a different hotel that was in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland.  We had never been to this area before, so we were happy to check it out.

Friends of our found a Paul Bunyan statue in Bangor, Maine when they were there on vacation earlier this summer.
Thus, I was challenged to find the matching statue in Portland.  Lo and behold, we found it in the Kenton neighborhood,
right around the corner from our hotel!

Another of the many Benson Bubblers around Portland - Cara liked this one because it had a low fountain for animals.

It wasn't open, but this was a cute little food cart in the area.

Interesting public art

We had eaten at the Cultured Caveman food carts before, but we found their first brick and mortar restaurant in Kenton!

We liked the open, somewhat industrial atmosphere, and the food was great!

Cara's Zucchini Noodles (yes, "noodles" of zucchini with marinara sauce) and Jicama Slaw

Eric's dinner (can't remember what it was) with Tomato Cucumber Salad
