  • 11/14/2024, Thursday - Explored St. Augustine Historic District

We made it St. Augustine, Florida and lasting warm weather, and that is a wonderful thing! Then we joined a gym for exercise and access to showers, as many digital nomads do. Later we decided to walk around the Historic District.

  • 11/8/2024, Friday - November Bike Party

We've been blessed with less cold weather than usual this autumn, but temperatures will start to fall, so it's time to head to warmer climes. So, we winterized our RV and began our slow journey south. We had hoped to make it to this month's Bike Party in Indianapolis, and we succeeded! It was a fun 29.3 mile bike ride - about 14 miles get downtown and back to our friends', plus about 15 miles for the Bike Party ride. We thoroughly enjoyed the night, getting home around 1 am, and we were thrilled that it wasn't freezing cold. But, we're ready for real warmth, lol.

  • 11/4/2024, Monday - Life Update

Sorry for the long silence, but life threw us a curveball, and we had to roll with it. So, we enjoyed our time in Canada, then went back to Buffalo, NY for a few days before heading back to Indianapolis in hopes of making the September Bike Party. Eventually, the insurance company of the tow truck driver that hit us (oh, the irony!) paid us out for the new bikes, bike rack, and a totaled vehicle. At this same time, we also got new bikes and bike rack. I know, we have had terrible luck with bikes, so we are praying that bad luck is over now.

  • 9/5/2024, Thursday - Biked Burlington, Ontario

We had stayed the previous 2 nights in Markham, Ontario. We decided to head west for about an hour to another northern suburb of Toronto. We got there at about noon and had a really nice day. Perfect weather and it was nice to see how people lived in Burlington.

  • 9/4/2024, Wednesday - Biked Markham, Ontario

Markham was very cool. It was a wealthy area with exotic cars and luxurious houses. We had a really good parking spot so we decided to stay an extra day. We wanted to see more of the town so we biked out a whole different area and did a big loop around the city. There were lots of bike lanes and bike paths and residential neighborhoods. We made a big loop that took us all day to do.

  • 9/3/2024, Tuesday - Biked the Rouge Valley Trail in Markham, Ontario

This trail in the Unionville area of Markham was recommended to us by our friend Jesse. It didn't disappoint. Markham was a rich area and it showed with the trail system. They had a million bridges and put a lot of work into this trail system.

  • 9/2/2024, Monday - Biked the Waterfront Trail in Ajax, Ontario

On Monday we left Jesse's and drove to Ajax (east of Toronto) to check out the Waterfront Trail. Here is the Relive video of our ride this day:

  • 8/31-9/1/2024, Saturday-Sunday - Biked the Beaver River Trail in Cannington, Ontario

We chilled and talked with Jesse more on Saturday morning, and eventually we decided to go for a bike ride. Here is our Relive video of our Sunday ride:

  • 8/29-8/30/2024, Thursday-Friday - Biked the Trails in Newmarket, Ontario

On Thursday, after getting some work done at our friends' place in Binbrook we drove to downtown Newmarket, Ontario because it looked like it had a nice walking district and some great bike trails. Here is the Relive video we made for this day: After our bike ride we packed up and drove north to Cannington to visit Jesse, a friend we had met in Belize. We walked into town, narrowly avoiding a hard rain, and had dinner at Pub 12, which was super slow because apparently almost everyone in town had gone to cottages for the long weekend. We stayed up late that night and had a great time talking and catching up with Jesse.

  • 8/26/2024, Monday - Hung out with Rob and Kathy in Binbrook, Ontario

We left Buffalo and headed to Canada. We used to do the Internet Marketing for a Canada fishing lodge for 17 years. Rob and Kathy owned the lodge and sold it about 3 years ago. They live about 1.5 hours from Buffalo so we decided to pay them a visit.
