11/8/2024, Friday - November Bike Party

We've been blessed with less cold weather than usual this autumn, but temperatures will start to fall, so it's time to head to warmer climes. So, we winterized our RV and began our slow journey south. We had hoped to make it to this month's Bike Party in Indianapolis, and we succeeded!

Bike Party met up at a nice park overlooking downtown Indianapolis.

There was even a DJ playing some nice house music while everyone gathered and mingled before the 8 pm scheduled departure time.

Our first break spot was at a big park along the Monon Trail.

We don't have our new bikes lit up the way these are yet, but we will do something fun to them when we get a chance.

Our second stop was on the other side of the city, at a boat ramp on the White River.

The final stop was under a bridge downtown, also along the White River. It's a cool spot we are familiar with.

Because it was a little chilly (high 40s or low 50s) there was a small bonfire, and the people in the distance are gathered around that.

It was a fun 29.3 mile bike ride - about 14 miles get downtown and back to our friends', plus about 15 miles for the Bike Party ride. We thoroughly enjoyed the night, getting home around 1 am, and we were thrilled that it wasn't freezing cold. But, we're ready for real warmth, lol.
