8/23/2024, Friday - Sunday, Matt Fest music festival

We met a guy named Brian who knows a lot about the music scene. He invited us to Matt Fest XXIII. It was a music festival where most of the crowd were musicians. They had about 20 bands over 2 days. There were 2 stages so the music was continuous. It was a lot of fun!


We won't bore you with a ton of videos, but below are a couple.


This video is typical of the musicians. Most of the songs were original songs that people had written over the years.


In between bands on the main stage Emmie sang some songs. She has a great voice...You should listen to her.


Where the 4 guys in the back are was where people in the crowd joined in to sing with the bands. People came and went and everybody was having a great time.

Basically they played music continuously from noon to midnight.

This was a private party and not a big music festival. People were camped out all around.

This band was called Dead Elvis and the guy in white was Elvis. He even had a bunch of monogrammed towels that he would wipe himself with and throw to the girls.

Some of the bands perform all the time throughout Buffalo and the region and some of them were more informal. At night the more polished bands played.

10 bands per day played

All of the bands were really good, but the bands that really drew the crowds were the bands that played at night.
