9/2/2024, Monday - Biked the Waterfront Trail in Ajax, Ontario

On Monday we left Jesse's and drove to Ajax (east of Toronto) to check out the Waterfront Trail.

We parked at Ajax Casino (also Ajax Downs) and made our way to the waterfront.

There were many nice break/lunch spots along the trail.

It was a very popular trail. Of course, it was another beautiful sunny day, so why wouldn't it be busy?

In one section the trail was split between active and passive users, a good idea, but not everyone followed the rules.

We made it to the next town of Pickering.

We wanted to continue on to a cool pier across from a lighthouse, but the sand was too deep and soft, and we had to turn back.

We found a place to eat, so we took a different route back to our car.

Sometimes the pictures turn out a little blurry when I take them while riding the bike, lol.

We ate at a place called The Greek Freak. It was good, but a little odd to us because the fries we thought came WITH the sandwich were actually ON the sandwich.
