It was a misty day. The Chatterbox is right on Mass Ave in Downtown Indianapolis. We took a Lyft to get there and it cost 10$ one way for 4 people. |

Your typical little pop up market. All of the people at this one were making their own stuff. |

This is a carved limestone block that is right on the Monon Trail in Broad Ripple. For those unfamiliar, Broad Ripple is a section of Indianapolis. |

The Trail borders the White River |

We ran into these guys from the Goshen Brewery. They were going to be going to the Indy Brewfest which was going on the next day. |
![]() |
Since the Brewpub was full, we ended up at Mama Corollas which is a little Italian Restaurant right on the bike trail |
![]() |
4 of us had the Lasagna which was some of the best I have ever had |

After that we headed down to the old Ohio State Prison where the movie Shawshank Redemption was filmed. |

They said that the movie is what saved the prison from demolition. |

This was how most of it looked with a bunch of peeling paint |
![]() |
This is the chapel....Notice Zora leading the ceremony? |

After that we used a restaurant.com and yelp rating cross reference to visit Doc's Café. |
![]() |
For dinner that evening we went to Rayz On The Bay. |
![]() |
This was pretty much the car action in the back. We had a big van to ride in. |
![]() |
The next day we boarded the Ferry and headed to Put in Bay, Ohio. It is about a 15 minute ferry ride to an island. |
![]() |
There were tons of people heading to the island (16 busloads from Detroit, we later learned). |
![]() |
We started off on a hiking trail....they painted all the rocks orange? |
![]() |
Everybody got hungry so we stopped off for lunch |
![]() |
Next stop was a tour of the worlds largest geode......it is a cave where you go inside of a geode. The geode was made by the pressure of the glaciers they said. |
![]() |
You can see how big the crystals were |
![]() |
Nothing but giant crystals! Well, it IS the largest known Celestite geode in the world. |
![]() |
Then we headed off to the Admiral Perry National Peace Monument. We were treated to some re-enactors. See below for the video. |
![]() |
This shows the actual Admiral Perry Memorial. A decisive battle in 1812 was fought and won here. Now it is a peace memorial celebrating the peace forged from the war of 1812. |
![]() |
On this day the downtown area of Put In bay was a Giant packed party. |
![]() |
